The Wellsite Information Transfer Specification (WITS) is a communications format used for the transfer of a wide variety of wellsite data from one computer system to another.  This oil/gas industry standard is recognized by a number of companies internationally and is supported by many hardware devices and software applications used at wellsites around the globe.

In this video blog, I show you how to get started using our communications driver for WITS Level 0 Active protocol to integrate data from your wellsite devices into Wonderware applications.

Watch this video to learn how to get started using the TOP Server WITS Level 0 Active driver, including basic setup, for integrating wellsite data into Wonderware applications.

Just to summarize, in this video, I've shown you:

  1. How to configure a TOP Server channel using the WITS Level 0 Active driver.
  2. How to configure a TOP Server WITS Level 0 Active device including considerations for changing certain settings from the defaults.
  3. How to automatically generate tags for WITS pre-defined record types for access in Wonderware.

Don't forget to read my latest features blog post to learn about the newest updates to TOP Server or watch the on-demand webinar for more details of the latest release.
